Destin is known as the "World's Luckiest Fishing Village." The 78th Annual Destin Fishing Rodeo runs October 1–31, 2026, at 116 Harbor Blvd. Daily weigh-ins are on the docks at AJ's Seafood & Oyster Bar from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Book a registered Rodeo charter if you want your catch to count. Stay in Destin near the harbor for the shortest trip to the docks.

Sandestin Fishing Charters
Sandestin runs light tackle bay charters on two boats, Ceviché and Lil' Lucky, targeting redfish, speckled trout, and other species in the shallow back bays and grass flats of Choctawhatchee Bay. Beach and gulf fishing trips are also available, with night and fly fishing options on all charter types.
